The art series with impact
celebrate beauty earned
The Celebrate Beauty art series began with my original 40/40 project, Celebrate Beauty Earned, built around the idea that we don’t mourn a beauty lost, we celebrate the beauty earned. What started as a portrait study of women rediscovering their strength and self-worth evolved into a movement, an ever-growing exploration of identity, resilience, and the power of being seen.
The journey expanded with The Motherhood Project, created to honor the woman behind the title of “mom.” For one unforgettable night, we took over the Cultural Courthouse Art Gallery and filled it with portraits, stories, and emotion. The exhibit became a transformative experience, deeply impacting the community and giving voice to women who often stand behind the scenes.
Next came The Women of Wisdom Project, a tribute to the grace and strength that come with experience. Nearly 300 people gathered at the Jensen Beach Community Center to celebrate these portraits, and the event was featured in multiple local publications and even on a national online platform. It marked a moment of connection and pride, a reminder that art can build bridges between generations.
Now the series continues with The History of Women. This chapter shifts from large public events to a more intimate format, a private ball exclusively for the women whose stories are being told. Their portraits and reflections will be bound together in a beautifully crafted, limited edition coffee table book that weaves narratives from The Motherhood Project with new stories from The History of Women. Each participant will be featured in publications and invited to this private celebration of legacy and choice.
This participant supported project has a contribution of $595 and welcomes women who wish to share their defining moments. The guiding question at its heart is simple yet profound: If you had to make one choice that changed the course of your life, what did you choose and why?
If this speaks to you, I would love to hear your story and invite you to be part of The History of Women.
